We are delighted and celebrating after the release of the latest Ofsted inspection report, which recognises the school’s high standards across every area of its provision. As part of Diverse Academies Trust we welcomed inspectors on 30 June 2026.
Assessed against the new inspection framework, Bracken Lane Primary Academy achieved the ‘strong standard’ across all inspection areas, including inclusion, curriculum and teaching, achievement and progress, behaviour and attendance, personal development and wellbeing, early years, and leadership and governance.
Inspectors described the school as a place where pupils are ‘proud to belong’ in a welcoming environment, highlighting that they are ‘polite, respectful and considerate of others’ and demonstrate ‘positive attitudes to learning’. The report also recognises the strength of the school’s leadership, noting that leaders have a ‘clear vision’ and that ‘high expectations’ underpin a culture where pupils and staff thrive.
The report praises pupils’ academic success, noting that ‘pupils achieve above-average outcomes’ and are ‘well prepared’ for the next stage of their education. Inspectors also highlight the school’s positive culture, describing relationships between staff and pupils as ‘warm, respectful and supportive’, adding that pupils are ‘courteous’, cooperate well with one another and ‘take pride’ in both their school and their work.
Within the Ofsted report, curriculum and teaching were recognised as strengths, with inspectors finding that the curriculum is taught ‘consistently well’ and that staff have ‘secure subject knowledge’ and are ‘well trained’ to understand pupils’ individual needs.

Every member of staff works tirelessly to provide the very best education and opportunities for our children, and this outcome reflects that collective effort.
