A note from Principal, Helen Cawkill

At Bracken Lane Primary Academy it is our aim, in partnerships with families, to help our children enjoy their primary education years. It is important that children are happy, feel secure and achieve the very best that they can.

‘Pupils are happy at their friendly school. Pupils, parents and carers, and staff say: ‘We are a family’. Pupils say the Bracken Lane Behaviours are helping them to be confident. They care about their friends and want to do their best.’

(Ofsted, November 2021)

We offer a stimulating, challenging and exciting knowledge-rich curriculum which offers all children a high standard of education and provides firm foundations for the future.  We create an inclusive culture by ensuring that all children are empowered to achieve their full potential, contribute to the wider community and our world’s sustainable future.

We have high expectations and academic standards while fostering creativity, imagination and curiosity.  We encourage the children to persevere, take care of one another and celebrate achievements.

Everything we do is centered around our core values – we empower, we respect, we care, and supported by the ‘Bracken Lane Behaviours’ that guide children as learners and support them in becoming respectful and caring individuals.
